It is the year of 2021, and I can’t believe the year went by so fast especially with all the unexpected pandemic. I am so grateful that my friends and family are safe and healthy, and I treasured the time and health we have. looking forward to the bright year ahead. Here are some of my favorite makeup remover and facial cleanser.
We are talking about makeup remover and cleaners in the beginning of 2021 in a way of washing off the impurity and start fresh again. After years of searching the most effective, soothing and comfortable makeup remover and cleaners for years. I am so glad that I finally found my beloved combination of products that I can use everyday and not feeling harsh to my face.
My Favorite Makeup Remover
My favorite makeup removers are oil based and I love how they are smooth on my skin and melts my makeup easily.
1. Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing Oil
I love almost all Bobbi Brown products, this cleansing oil is my first choice in my skincare routine. It has light fragrance, and it melts makeup even waterproof mascara. My face feels soft and hydrated after rinsing off with water.
2. DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
The famous and highly ranked cleansing oil is truly owning its fame. It melts any makeup easily without any problems, and leaves my face moist. The only downside is the scent which smells slightly like rubber band in my opinion.
3. Lancome Bi-Facil double action eye makeup remover
My go to waterproof makeup remover, it is mild and removes stubborn makeup easily. I like to use cotton pads with this remover, simply shake the remover before using it then pour a quarter size on the cotton pads gently cover my eyes for 30 seconds, wipe the makeup off and wash my face with my favorite face cleaner below.

1. DHC Face Wash Powder
The softest foamy cleaner ever!! Just add water to this powder formula to create a luxurious foaming lather. Finely milled silica and protease enzyme gently exfoliate for a smoothing complexion. Lavender flower and licorice root extract calm while honey and sodium hyaluronate leave skin feeling soft and hydrated. I love using this face wash after their cleansing oil to complete my routine at night. I feel my face is more clean and brighter.
2. Kiehl’s Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash
Another crowd favorite face wash that lathers easily, soothing and comfortable on face. It doesn’t give my face any allergy reaction or drying feeling.
3. Clinique Liquid Facial Soap mild
Soft, non-drying lather loosens surface flakes, removes dirt and debris, and protects skin’s natural moisture balance. Affordable with large volume in the bottle. All time favorite and I always have a spare bottle in my cosmetic vanity.
3. FANCL Deep Clear Washing Powder
This is a deep cleaning washing powder. An enzyme cleanser that removes pore dirt, darkening, and square plugs at once, and then rinses away the skin. Powder containing charcoal and clay turns into cushion foam that gently wraps the skin. While keeping moisture, you can entangle dirt and feel clean pores without getting stuck. I only use this once a week or when I travel due to its convenient package. I bought this item in Japan 2019 and I love it so much I wish I can buy it here at the same price.
